About Me

My name is Jamie Lynn Robertson and I am a custom portrait photographer serving Central Illinois and the surrounding areas.  I work in natural light, on-location & I specialize in photographing newborns, babies, children and families.

In addition to being a photographer, I am a SIU-C college graduate with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education.  I also am the proud mother of a two year old daughter and a wife to a very supportive husband.  My passion for photography has inspired my beauty of nature and the illuminating effect of natural light in my portraits.

My website was launched in Spring 2001 under the name of "Photos to DVD" in Southern Illinois with the main focus on DVD Video production but I quickly learned how important it was to have a great photograph in order to make a great Video Montage DVD. I started my photography portion of WE LOVE PHOTOGRAPHY in the Fall of 2006 and of course changed the name of my business after re-locating to Central Illinois. My daughter was born in the Spring of 2010 and family photography has been my passion ever since! I still compile DVD videos as part of my business and I always love watching a great still photo come to life with music and transitions.  I believe this is the best way to re-live those memories for a lifetime.  

Between taking photographs and DVD productions I keep pretty busy, not to mention running around after a 2 yr. old.  Who would have thought after becoming a Stay at home mom, I could be busier than when I was working full-time for all those years?!

I am dedicated to my craft and I invest a great deal of time and energy into growing as a photographer.  I am constantly reading photographer books and magazines & I scour the web for informative articles and websites.  I want to be the best I can be for my clients, so I take my photography very seriously.

I am the oldest of 2 brothers and 3 sisters.

I am seriously addicted to Starbucks.

I have a Degree in Elementary Education with a specialization in Historical Science & Social Science.  I also am Illinois Insurance License Certified.

I help out where I can with The Forgotten Initiative of Champaign County, IL
